Did you space out during the lockdown missing Zomato and Swiggy as well? The luscious butter naan with chicken tikka, veg Korma, Sarso da saag, Pav Bhaji, Samosa and all the mouth-watering food. Me too. But this situation brought one good thing to us. Now we all are Gordon Ramsay from Govandi.
Covid doesn’t want to go away and so does our memories of eating the greasy, spicy, salty food. But since we don’t want to hear the word Positive, maybe for the first time, our inner Vikas Khanna has to stay alive. Food has a huge impact on our lives and sometimes we tend to ignore this fact. Like our parents say “Whatever is tasty for our tongue is not good for our body”. Don’t remember them saying this? Yeah, you shouldn’t ignore what your parents say as well.
No worries. I am going to recommend a few nutritious dishes which you can try at home without compromising your taste level and being safe. You will love these. If you don’t, you didn’t cook it right. (Gordon Ramsay stay strong)
1. Palak Paneer
Palak Paneer is one of the simplest and healthiest dishes you can try at home. Perhaps an interesting way to include spinach in your meal. It is made of ingredients like ginger, garlic, spinach, paneer, tomato, onion which is nutritious for your health. Palak Paneer is high in protein, vitamin e, calcium, vitamin c and is a treat for your taste buds.
It goes well with naan, roti, and chapatti.
2. Sandwich
Who doesn’t like sandwiches? You can add absolutely anything you like to your sandwich and make them tasty. With some meat and veggies, the right amount of protein and carbs can be consumed making your meal nutritious and tasty. Maybe you can try your subway sandwich at home adding some greens and sauces.
3. Kale Smoothie
One of the means to keep yourself hydrated and healthy is making smoothies. Kale smoothie is made of kale leaves, bananas, almonds, peanut butter. All you can hear is protein and fiber. Even if you don’t consider yourself a green smoothie person, you will love the Kale Smoothie. It’s just a mixture of sweet and fiber that will make your stomach full and keep you light.
4. Lemon Coriander Soup
Soups are another means of keeping your meal light and healthy. One of the best soups you can add to your diet is lemon coriander soup. With the right amount of lemon being induced in the soup, it is flavorful, healthy and tasty. Coriander is helpful to cure a lot of diseases like keeping your heart healthy, lowering blood pressure, fighting infections and plus is an ingredient that can be easily added to any of your meals.
Similarly, lemons have the power to keep your digestion in check. With these two ingredients perfectly combined, you can keep yourself fit.
5. Green Peas Idli
If you think that peas are humble, ordinary vegetables, think again! These tiny bead-sized jewels carry quite a punch when it comes to nutrients and health benefits.
Idlis are dishes which you can have in your breakfast without worrying about anything else. To make it healthy you can add green peas to the batter. It tastes amazing and can toss out the traditional Idlis.
